EXPERIENCE EVENSONG WITH MD STATE BOYCHOIR THIS FRIDAY
A service of Evensong with the Maryland State Boychoir as the choir for the service is this Friday, November 4 at 7:30pm in St. Peter’s Church, with a small concert by the Boychoir to follow.  Evensong is part of the Episcopal Church’s discipline of Daily Prayer and is an important part of our Anglican choral heritage.

There is no charge for this event and the public is invited.  Please invite friends and family to join you at St. Peter’s for Evensong.  An offering will be taken up during the service to go toward the Boychoir’s expenses and training.

Thank you to those families who are hosting the members of the choir Friday night, and thank you to the Fellowship and Hospitality Committee who is serving them dinner before the service.

ALL SAINTS’ SUNDAY THIS SUNDAY
The Feast of All Saints is one of the seven principal feasts of the church year when we remember all the saints of the church.  It is commemorated on November 1 and according to the Book of Common Prayer is the only principal feast that can also be celebrated on the following Sunday.  We will celebrate All Saints’ Sunday this Sunday, November 6 with some special music and the remembering of the names of loved ones at the altar.

DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME ENDS – TURN BACK YOUR CLOCKS ONE HOUR SATURDAY NIGHT

BE PART OF OUR FALL ALL PARISH CLEAN UP DAY – NOV. 12
All parishioners are asked to come to St. Peter’s Saturday morning, November 12, and help with cleaning and maintenance tasks in our buildings and grounds.  This is a great opportunity to come together for good stewardship in caring for that which we have been entrusted. We’ll begin the day with Morning Prayer at 8:30am in the church and then proceed with working in various places from 9am until 12noon.  Many hands make light work and there is a job for everyone.  Please join in our fall all parish clean up.  Contact Property Committee Chair Amy Maull for more information:

UPCOMING SPIRITUAL WORKSHOPS
The Diocese of Easton’s Retreat House in Hillsboro, Maryland is hosting two spiritual workshops in November that are open to all parishioners:
Spiritual Transformation: Crossing the Threshold into Life’s Second Half: Thursday, November 10, 2016, 9:00 am: During this retreat we will explore the challenge of being at this critical threshold event and how the Spirit companions and transforms us. We will set out on a new spiritual path akin to Robert Frost’s less traveled road that can make all the difference.

A Deep Dive into the Gospel of Matthew, November 14, at 9:00 am: you are invited to a morning of study and inspiration, with an eye toward the preaching that beckons in the year ahead.
For additional information about each event and how to register, visit the Retreat House website:
