Happy Thanksgiving!

Canned Food Drive Begins this Sunday

During Sundays in Advent we will be collecting nonperishable food items at each worship service for delivery to organizations that feed the hungry here in our communityAs part of our outreach ministry in December, the Outreach Committee is highlighting a different local organization each week.  This Sunday all the food collected will be delivered to Joseph House.  When you’re out shopping this week, why not put a few extra items in your shopping cart for those in need, and bring your canned goods or other nonperishable items to church this Sunday.  Thank you!
Thanksgiving Service tomorrow
There will be a service of Holy Eucharist for Thanksgiving Day tomorrow at 10:00 am in the church.  Come and sing some Thanksgiving hymns, like We Gather Together  and Come Ye Thankful People Come, pray the Litany of Thanksgiving, and begin your day in thanks and praise.
Fire at St. Paul’s by the Sea results in Death of Rector
Fire has claimed the life of the Rector of one of our Episcopal Churches in the southern part of the Diocese, St. Paul’s by the Sea in downtown Ocean City.  The Rev. David Dingwall died yesterday afternoon of injuries he suffered from a fire in St. Paul’s Parish Office Wednesday morning.  Please keep  David ’s family and his parish family in your prayers during this difficult time.  Funeral arrangements will be communicated to parishioners once they are known.
Come to Café Night:  Italian!  This Sunday evening
The EYC will be hosting another café night this Sunday, December 1st.  After several days of Thanksgiving goodies and leftovers, hopefully everyone will be ready for something a little different – Italian!  Plus – after having company, traveling, or spending several days cooking – this will be a nice way to let someone else take care of you.  The EYC will be serving parmesan chicken with pasta, salad, garlic bread and, of course, desserts.  Beer and wine will be available for purchase as well.  All proceeds go to the EYC.

2014 Church Kalendars on Sale
2014 Church Kalendars from the Diocese are now here and are available for $2.50 a piece.  You can purchase yours at coffee hour this Sunday, or by visiting the Parish Office during the week.
