ALLELUIA! CHRIST IS RISEN! THE LORD IS RISEN INDEED! ALLELUIA!
What a joyful celebration we experienced at St. Peter’s this past Easter Sunday! The liturgies, prayers and scripture lessons celebrated Christ’s resurrection, and the decorations, music and enthusiasm of all the congregations added wonderfully to our praise and thanksgiving for this holy event in the life of the church. Congratulations to Ryan Atkin who was baptized as the newest member of our church at the Great Vigil on Easter Eve.
Many thanks to the music ministries team, the singers, and the musicians; the Altar Guild; servers and ministers; the Vestry for the wonderful and welcoming coffee hour; the Trailblazers for organizing the fun Easter egg hunt for the children on the Downtown Plaza; and everyone who attended and invited others to be part of the festivities. St. Peter’s has brought in the season of Easter in a grand way.
The Season of Easter, or Eastertide, is the longest feasting season of the church year, lasting 50 days from Easter Sunday through the Day of Pentecost (May 15) so keep feasting! Alleluia! Alleluia!
