RACE DOWNTOWN SUNDAY MORNING – WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW
This Sunday morning is the Tim Kennard 10K River Run which runs through downtown and could affect access to St. Peter’s.  It begins at 8:30am at Salisbury University and runs down Riverside Drive, Mill Street, Main Street through the Downtown Plaza and back around Market Street.  Mill Street is being blocked off between Riverside Drive and Route 50 when the racers come through.
7:45am and 9:00am Services
The race street closures should not affect those coming to the 7:45am and the 9:00am services.  You should be able to access Church Street as usual from Mill Street.  Mill Street will be blocked off from Riverside Drive after 9:00am when the racers begin reaching that point.
11am Service
It is anticipated that the race should be finished by 10:45am and the barriers cleared, but if not, the police officer at the Mill Street barriers has been instructed to let through any one coming to St. Peter’s for the 11am service. Just let the officer know you are going to St. Peters and you will be let through.
We were just made aware of this situation on Monday, and apologize for the late notice – please pass this word on to those that do not have access to email.  We have spoken with the race organizers and they understand and do not want to block people from coming to St. Peter’s.  Please let the race officials or police officers know you are coming to St. Peter’s and you should be able to pass through.

STATIONS OF THE CROSS THIS FRIDAY
We are at the midpoint of Lent, a good time to focus on the Passion of Our Lord.  As such, we will be having a service of the Stations of the Cross this Friday, March 4 at 7pm in the church.  The service lasts a half hour and consists of circling around the interior of the church and stopping 12 times to pray and contemplate the 12 events experienced by Jesus on the Way of the Cross.  All are welcome to participate in this meaningful and moving Lenten observance.

EASTER FLOWERS ORDER FORMS
Order forms for Easter Lilies to adorn our altar for Easter Day will be available beginning this Sunday as bulletin inserts at our worship services.  Order forms are due by Sunday, March 20.  These forms can also be found in the Parish Office.

YOUTH GROUP CHURCH LOCK IN IS THIS SATURDAY
All Middle School and High School Youth and their friends are invited and encouraged to attend the annual Youth Group “Lock In” this Saturday, March 6 beginning at 6pm in St. Peter’s Church.  This overnight event will conclude Sunday morning with a breakfast in the Parish Hall followed by attendance at the 9am worship service.  No cost, but you need to contact Nivek Johnson, our Youth Ministries Intern, as soon as possible.  You’ll be provided with more information and a permission form to fill out.  Nivek can be reached at (443) 480-0986; email:
niv.johnson@hotmail.com.

DIOCESAN CONVENTION REPORT
St. Peter’s delegation will give a brief report on what happened at the recent Diocesan Convention at worship services this coming Sunday.

UNIDENTIFIED KNEELERS – CAN YOU HELP?
These Kneelers below have been dedicated to the glory of God and are in the Nave of the church. Information about who they were dedicated for and by has not been entered into the Kneeler Dedication record book. We are trying to correct that. If you have that information please contact Jane or Curt Massey at 410-546-3230 or
janecurt@comcast.net.  Thank you.

PASTORAL NEWS
Chuck Whitmore’s funeral will be held on Saturday, March 5 at 11am at St. Peter’s Church.  Friends may call on the family an hour before the service in the parlor.  Please keep his spouse Jane and their family in your prayers during this difficult time.
