WORSHIP MUSIC THIS SUMMER
This summer we will experience a variety of music offerings at worship. At the 10am service we will have an assortment of organ and contemporary music and hymns. This Sunday Brittany Spicer, Dick Van Gelder and Rick Fahey will lead our music. The following Sunday, July 3, St. Peter’s Choir takes a break from its summer recess, coming back to perform as part of our God and Country tribute at Holy Eucharist. Peter’s Voice will perform on some Sundays in July and August; Robert Young and additional soloists and musicians will be featured on other Sundays.
Every Sunday the 8am service will have organ accompaniment. St. Peter’s organist Robert Young will be playing at most of the summer early services, with Wesley Mitchell substituting on some Sundays. This Sunday at the 8am service Soprano Sharon Clark will perform a solo at the Offertory.
Come to St. Peter’s this summer for a variety of music as we worship and praise our Lord!
PARKING LOT WALL REPAIRED
The low retaining wall in the church parking lot was damaged by the snow plow this past winter. The Property Committee has arranged for this week for the wall to be taken down and rebuilt. Work should be completed by the end of this week.
IMAGINING OUR FUTURE
Have you commented yet on the questions about our future that are posted outside the parlor? All parishioners are encouraged to write down their thoughts on the butcher paper on the table outside the parlor during coffee hour this Sunday. The questions are:
The butcher paper will be there for a couple of weeks to allow time for people to write down their answers. This is one way the Discernment Committee over the summer and fall is soliciting thoughts and ideas about our parish’s Vision for the Future.
- What words would you use to describe St. Peter’s values?
- What do you dream for St. Peter’s future?
- Imagine our parish in 5 years with unlimited resources. What would St. Peter’s be doing?
MAKE-UP PHOTOS HAVE ARRIVED
For those who had Parish Directory photo make-up appointments last month, your photographs have now arrived and are in the parlor for you to pick up this Sunday at coffee hour.
WE HAVE A STAFFED NURSERY ALL SUMMER LONG!

Parishioner Ellen Bloodsworth, age 100, died peacefully early Tuesday morning. She is remembered as a longtime, faithful parishioner at St. Peter’s, who loved her church and the people of St. Peter’s.
There will be a Memorial Service for Ellen on Saturday, July 2 at 11am at St. Peter’s Church, the Rev. David Michaud as Celebrant. Friends may call on the family in the hour before the service in the parlor. A reception will be held after the service in the Parish Hall.
Give rest, O Christ, to thy servant with thy saints, where sorrow and pain are no more, neither sighing, but life everlasting.
