YOUTH VISIT WITH BISHOP MARRAY
The Diocese of Easton’s Bishop-elect Santosh Marray will be making a special visit to the Eastern Shore the week of July 5-7 and has requested an opportunity to meet with the youth in the diocese. Tomorrow from 3-6pm there will be a Pool Party at Camp Wright with the newly elected Bishop. There will be pool time and games, dinner, and compline and a question and answer session with youth and the Bishop. Any youth who are interested in attending should ask their parents to contact Father David today at 410-742-5118 or 410-422-7053 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Thank you for everyone who commented during the month of June on the Discernment questions on butcher paper during coffee hour. The answers have been captured and have been posted on our parish website at http://www.stpeterschurch.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/Butcher-paper-comments-June-2016.pdf.
Your Discernment Committee has been meeting this summer, is reviewing the answers to these questions, and is putting together plans to follow up with a fall Discernment series of small group meetings and forums in September and October. Exact dates and times and details are still being worked out. These efforts will help the parish to focus on who we are and who we want to become in the future. Stay tuned for details in the next few weeks.
BRICK WORK ON PARISH HOUSE
Over the next couple of weeks a mason will be doing some repair work on the Parish House wall on the courtyard side. It was discovered that during heavy storms water had been leaking into this wall and parts of the interior wall along the stairs leading up to second floor had to be removed. Once this repair is complete the interior wall can be replaced.
The repair work on the brick wall damaged last winter by the snow plow in the church parking lot has been completed.
