HANNAH SHADE BAPTISM THIS SUNDAY
Hannah Shade, granddaughter of Robert and Emily Shade, will receive the sacrament of Holy Baptism this Sunday, July 24 at the 8:00am worship service. Please keep Emily in your prayers as she and her parents prepare for this blessed event.
KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM BEING INSTALLED IN THE PARISH HOUSE
With increased need of more people to access the Parish House at different times for growing ministries at St. Peter’s, the Vestry has authorized the installation of a keyless entry system for the Parish House. This will allow people to use a card to enter the Parish House and the upstairs and downstairs, and will be less expensive than making more and more keys. Cards may be restricted to certain days and times. The system will be installed in mid August. Those who have keys will be asked to exchange them for keyless entry cards beginning August 14. More details will be given closer to the transition about the particulars of going from keys to cards.
NURSERY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR TWO SUNDAYS THIS SUMMER
Nursery volunteers needed July 31 and August 7 for the 10am service. If interested, please email Megan Fenoglietto at firstname.lastname@example.org or call at 410-251-0376.
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL IS LESS THAN ONE MONTH AWAY – HAVE YOU SIGNED UP YET?
The Wicomico Episcopal Churches are coming together this summer to host a joint Vacation Bible School (V.B.S.) from Sunday, August 7 through Thursday, August 11 from 5pm to 8pm – the first three days will be hosted at St. Peter’s and the last two days will be hosted by St. Alban’s, Salisbury.
Registration forms and information are now available on the VBS page on our parish website: http://www.stpeterschurch.net/education/vacation-bible-school/. Registration forms are also available on the table by the parlor at coffee hour this Sunday, and from the Parish Office.
We are in need of volunteers: adults and high school and middle school students. St. Peter’s is also hosting the dinner for participants on Sunday evening August 7 and volunteers are needed for that too. Contact Sherri Hall about volunteer opportunities: email@example.com.
IT’S JULY – LET’S THINK OF SNOW!
On these hot July days, it’s not too early (and pretty cool right now!) to think of snow – and St. Peter’s is in need of a new snow plow contractor this winter who will come and plow our parking lot and clear our sidewalks, walkways and stairs when it snows. Do you have someone you could recommend? If so, please contact the Parish Office (410) 742-5118 or Mac Peverley. Thank you!
RECTOR ON VACATION
Father David Michaud and his spouse Kelli are on vacation through July 29 and will return for Sunday services on July 31. This Sunday we welcome the Rev. Dr. David Tontonoz as our Celebrant. The Rev. Buddy Murray is leading a Deacon’s Mass for the Wednesday Noon Healing Service those Wednesdays while Fr. David is away. Should there be any pastoral emergencies or church business requiring immediate attention, please contact the Wardens: Sharon Clark, Senior Warden, or Atif Gaddis, Junior Warden, during Father David’s vacation time.
