This is your opportunity to come hear and ask questions about the Episcopal Church’s General Convention, which took place June 25 through July 3 in Salt Lake City, Utah.  All are welcome to attend!

“WATER WORLD” IS THEME FOR JULY THIRD FRIDAY

At this Friday’s Third Friday Downtown, St. Peter’s is setting up a “misting station” in the courtyard to encourage those attending the monthly event to spend some time cooling off from the heat at St. Peter’s.  Volunteers are needed to help out – be at the courtyard on St. Peter’s Street by 4:30pm to help set up.  Drop by and help support the parish’s efforts to participate in Third Friday Downtown as a way to be more visible and inviting to residents; invite your friends to stop by as well.

Rev. Henry Parsley, Bishop Provisional of Easton, will preside.

A reception will be held immediately following the service in St. Peter’s Parish Hall.  HELP IS NEEDED to set up tables and chairs Friday at 5pm – please come and help set up if you can.  HELP IS ALSO NEEDED Saturday after 2pm to breakdown tables and chairs to set up for the Sunday morning Youth Initiatives meeting.  Thank you if you can lend a hand.

Please keep Father Ron and his family in your prayers during this difficult time.

BAPTISMAL CANDIDATES

This Sunday at the 10am service we will pray for Dennis Supe and Brent Copeland who are studying to receive the Sacrament of Baptism on Sunday, August 16 as adult Catechumens.

CONVERSATION CONTINUES THIS SUNDAY ABOUT YOUTH MINISTRIES INITIATIVE PROPOSAL

The Education Committee has put forth a proposal for a new Youth Ministries Initiative that recently received funding approval from the Vestry.  The proposal calls for hiring a part-time Youth Ministries Intern and making some changes to how St. Peter’s approaches Christian formation, fellowship and mission for our youth, beginning in the fall of 2015.

This Sunday, July 19, after the 10am service we will continue our conversation in the Parish Hall for parents and youth in middle and high school who didn’t get to attend last Sunday’s meeting to learn and talk about this proposal.  At these meetings members of the Education Committee and Father David will be present.  Please plan to attend to learn more and provide feedback.
