HABITAT NEEDS YOUR HELP
Habitat for Humanity is desperately looking for both men and women to help on their current build right across Naylor Street from the post office. Since St. Peters used to have a Habitat crew, it is most fitting to ask for volunteers to represent St. Peters in this build. If Habitat does not get more help, the family is in jeopardy of NOT getting into their house in August as planned. If you can help with this ministry, please contact Megan Fenoglietto at 410-860-9258. Please join our St. Peters team!
PARENTS MEETING THIS SUNDAY ABOUT YOUTH MUSIC IN THE FALL
St. Peter’s Choir tenor lead Calvin Collins is interested in leading a youth choir and would like to have a conversation with interested parents this Sunday after the 10am service. Parents: please meet in the second floor children’s choir room in the Parish House this Sunday for a conversation about possibilities for a youth music ministry at St. Peter’s.
AC SYSTEM REPAIRS ANTICIPATED THIS WEEK
A circulating pump for the church’s air conditioning system was not working this Sunday. It stopped working Friday. Parts have been ordered and it should be repaired by the end of this week so that the AC will be back in operation for this Sunday’s worship services.
THANK YOU TO ALL WHO HELPED MAKE THE PARISH PICNIC A SUCCESS
More than 70 parishioners participated in this year’s Parish Picnic last Sunday on the beautiful shores of the Nanticoke River at Cedar Hill Park in Bivalve, MD. Many thanks to Peter’s Voice who provided the music and audio sound system for our worship service, to the many youth who participated in the worship ministries as part of Youth Sunday, and to the Altar Guild who set up church in the great outdoors.
Thanks also to the Fellowship and Hospitality Committee for their work in hauling supplies and setting up, cooking the hot dogs and hamburgers, and cleaning up at the end of the picnic. There were lots of things to do and much fun and fellowship was experienced.
Please let members of the Fellowship and Hospitality Committee know what you thought about going out the Cedar Hill Park. They would appreciate the feedback to keep in mind for next year’s picnic.
