THIS SUNDAY IS TRINITY SUNDAY
This Sunday we celebrate one of the seven principal feasts of the church – Trinity Sunday, which falls in the church calendar on the first Sunday after Pentecost. At this service we affirm our belief in the Triune God: one God in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, in prayer and hymns.
SUMMER WORSHIP SCHEDULE
We are now in our summer worship schedule of 8am Rite I and 10am Rite II Holy Eucharist. We will also offer daily worship through the summer: Monday, 9:30am, Tuesday, 5:30pm, Wednesday 12noon Holy Eucharist with a Public Service of Healing, Thursday 5:30pm, Friday, 5:30pm, Saturday 8:30am. The nursery will be open for the 10am Sunday service.
IMPROVEMENTS TO PARISH HALL THIS SUMMER
The Vestry has approved the recommendation from the Property Committee to install a new HVAC system in the Parish Hall this summer and to enhance this common area by taking out the current drop ceiling and raising the ceiling to add some height and elegance to our Parish Hall. This will provide us with a much improved space that is a center for our parish’s fellowship, outreach and formation events and activities.
The work will involve closing the Parish Hall this summer for demolition and construction. The project is expected to begin in another two weeks. This is a capital project, but it was decided to move forward on completing the project this summer rather than waiting until next summer so that we would have a renovated space in 2018 for our 250th Anniversary events and activities, which are being planned to occur throughout next year.
During construction the Monday NA Group will be meeting temporarily in the Parish Annex building. Please note that once the work begins, the Parish Hall will be unavailable and the kitchen will have limited access. Contact Property Chair Amy Maull for more information.

THIRD FRIDAY JUNE 16 – BLESSING OF THE ANIMALS AND MORE
One of the most popular Third Friday Downtown events comes up this month. The theme is “Paw Prints” and folks bring their dogs and pets with them and make a point of coming to St. Peter’s for a pet blessing. The Blessing of the Animals will take place in St. Peter’s courtyard at 5:45pm and 6:15pm Friday, June 16. There will be doggie treats and water bowls. Kids event will be create your own animals with play-dough. And we’ll be offering our famous burgers & dogs off the grill.
We are in need of volunteers to help with the pet blessing and our Third Friday activities. It’s not much work and a lot of fun, and is an important part of our evangelism to the Salisbury community. Contact Linda Hurley if you can help or need more information: 443. 553-6351; email@example.com.
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL: SAVE THE DATES
This summer’s Vacation Bible School, sponsored by St Peter’s and the other Episcopal Churches of the Wicomico Cluster, will be held August 7-11, 9am-12 pm, at St Albans Episcopal Church on Mount Hermon Road in Salisbury. Theme is "Abundance Orchard: Where faith grows and hungry people are fed." Save the dates and plan to have your children, grandchildren, and any other youth who enjoy learning about God and having fun.
Parishioner Sherri Hall is our representative on the VBS Planning Committee and she is encouraging a good turnout of volunteers from St. Peter’s – let’s help our youth with an overwhelming show of support. Sherri reports that “We need volunteers for gardening, crafts, guitar player, set up, take down, as well other help, and leaders. The majority of the time will be outside under trees and we will have two days of water play.” Contact Sherri at firstname.lastname@example.org if you can help or if you’d like more information.
