Confirmation Class

Confirmation is the rite in which we express a mature commitment to Christ, and receive strength from the Holy Spirit through prayer and the laying on of hands by a bishop (Book of Common Prayer, p. 860).Confirmation

Confirmation is the adult affirmation of one’s baptism, when one makes a public declaration of one’s faith and desire to be part of the Episcopal Church.

For adults interested in confirmation, see the information about the Adult Inquirers Class here.

To be confirmed, youth should be of high school age, and are required to complete confirmation classes.

In 2016 Confirmation Classes will be offered at St. Peter’s for those baptized youth ages 14-17 who wish to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation when the Bishop of Easton visits St. Peter’s —  scheduled for January 15, 2017.  At this time there is no class scheduled for the fall of 2017; the next class is anticipated for fall 2018.

Classes are held  in the Catacombs in the basement of St. Peter’s Education Annex Building 110 W. Church St., next to the church every other Sunday afternoon at 12:30pm beginning September 11.  A schedule of classes and topics for 2016 can be found here.  Advanced registration is required so that the appropriate materials may be ordered.  Contact the Parish Office to register.
