Priest

The Rev. David Michaud is our Rector at St. Peter’s Church.

DavidMichaud_Headshot_800x600 Father David has been the Rector of St. Peter’s since November 2013. Prior to that, he served as Priest in Charge of St. Peter’s from May to October 2013.  Before coming to St. Peter’s, Father David was Rector of St. Andrew’s Church, Princess Anne, MD, serving at St. Andrew’s from June 2007 until April 2013.  He was ordained as a Priest in the Episcopal Church on December 21, 2007.  He attended the General Theological Seminary where he graduated May 2007 cum laude with a Master of Divinity degree.   He presides and preaches at our worship services and is the leader of our parish and the presiding officer of the Vestry of St. Peter’s, Salisbury Parish.

Father David has also been involved with the national church’s General Convention office, and continues to advise the office on matters dealing with the legislative database, having served as the General Convention’s Database Manager in 2006, 2009, and 2012, and most recently as the General Convention’s Assistant Secretary for Digital Systems in 2015  He was a Deputy to the General Convention in 2015 and an Alternate Deputy in 2012 and will be an Alternate Deputy in 2018.

Father David grew up in Salisbury, and was raised up in discernment for ordained ministry by St. Peter’s Church, being accepted as a postulant in 2004.  He is married to Kelli and they have two adult daughters, Erin and Maggie.

Father David maintains office hours Sunday through Thursday.
