Nominees for Vestry, Convention Delegates

The 2014 Nominating Committee issued its report Friday, April 18, on its nominees for Vestry and Convention Delegates for St. Peter’s Church, Salisbury Parish.  They will stand for election at the Parish Annual Meeting on Sunday, May 4 at 9:15am.  They are:

Experience Holy Week & Easter at St. Peter’s

Come and experience  Holy Week and Easter in the beauty and sacredness of  historic St. Peter’s Church in Salisbury, MD, Join a welcoming community of believers as we encounter God through worship in the many traditional liturgies and music of the season.

On Palm Sunday, April 13, St. Peter’s will celebrate the Liturgy of the Palms and the reading of the Passion of St. Matthew at the 7:45am, 9:00am and 11:00am worship services.  St. Peter’s Bell Choir will be featured at the 11am Palm Sunday Service.

Services at St. Peter’s Church during Holy Week are:  Wednesday April 16 at 12 noon: Holy Eucharist Rite I with Healing Service; Maundy Thursday commemorating the Our Lord’s Last Supper on April 17 at 7pm : with Festival Choir, foot washing, Holy Eucharist and Stripping of the Altar; Good Friday commemorating our Lord’s Crucifixion on April 18 at 12noon: Passion of St. John, Solemn Collects, Veneration of the Cross; Great Vigil of Easter commemorating Our Lord’s Passover from death to life on April 19 at 8pm: New Fire, Liturgies of Light and Word, First Eucharist of Easter.

Easter Sunday services on April 20 are:  7:45am Holy Eucharist Rite I; 9:00am contemporary Holy Eucharist  with Children’s Choir, Nursery available and Easter Egg hunt after the service; and 11:00am Choral Eucharist with woodwind and organ and Festival Choir.
